Skillsminer is delighted to announce it has successfully been awarded Scottish Enterprise funding to further invest in its AI Powered Skills Platform.
Skillsminer has already developed a following for its work in other sectors facing skills challenges such as construction, digital and care. This funding supports further exploration of the use of technology and AI to accelerate the important Green Skills agenda for Scotland.
With Energy Transition alone expected to change 1000’s of jobs across the UK, visibility and understanding of the roles and skills needed is vital.
Kirsty Mitchell, CEO and Founder of Skillsminer, explains
“By offering personalised guidance that resonates with the aspirations and potential of individuals, Skillsminer aims to empower a workforce who are equipped to drive forward the green agenda, making it an indispensable tool in the global pursuit of sustainability.”
This funding from Scottish Enterprise means that Skillsminer can develop its innovative insights on transferable green skills and pathways into sustainable jobs, skills validation and routes with qualifications. Kirsty added,
“We’re proud to be part of the real changes on the ground which are needed to deliver this difficult challenge. We’re already working with key providers in energy and we welcome more organisations to get involved, to help identify and connect the green skills needed in Scotland and the wider UK.”
“We have to create a joined up approach to skills across the economy and we’re excited to use this investment for innovative technology to build clear skills pathways for people in Scotland and beyond.”
Scottish Enterprise has awarded a SMART grant to Skillsminer to support the development of its Career Guidance GPT for the green energy sector. Suzanne Sosna, director of energy transition at Scottish Enterprise, said
“We saw 60% of new inward investment jobs last year coming from the energy transition sector so we know renewable energy sectors provide growth opportunities for Scotland’s economy.“
Skillsminer is developing an innovative tool to support careers in energy transition that will be vital as the workforce grows alongside demand for skills.
“It’s great to see Skillsminer developing its technology to support people looking for jobs in green energy, while also helping companies find the people they need to drive forward their net zero ambitions.”
Skillsminer is a Glasgow based company with a mission to reveal people’s untapped potential and help organisations to identify the hidden talent, with the right transferable skills, to deliver their goals.
